The Huddle

Sockeye 14 — Johnny Bravo 12

The Huddle: Analyze the play that Sockeye runs to try to win the game. Good call or bad, regardless of the success? Nice hustle to win the point, Whit.

Mike Whitaker: The play is a pretty basic string setting up an isolated in or out option for Nord. In that sense, it was a good call. The problem with the play was that the huck is thrown directly over the receiver's head in a crosswind situation. As with Parker's huck to Mac earlier in the half, this makes for a very difficult read for Nord that prevents him from getting a good jump on the disc.

Andrew Fleming: The Sockeye offense achieved most of its success in this game by methodically working the disc up the field. While a deep shot to Nord may seem like a pretty good plan under any circumstances, it may not have been the best choice here. On the other hand, this at least forces Bravo to work the full field for a goal. Whit makes another great play to pick up the score.
