Sockeye 9 — Johnny Bravo 10

Footage courtesy of

The Huddle: This is some of Sockeye best flow yet on offense. Why?

Andrew Fleming: Sockeye keeps the disc on the upwind side throughout the point. Both the downfield cutters and handlers go for sharp, quick cuts in rapid succession, giving throwers plenty of chances to move the disc. Bravo's flat mark effectively takes away deep looks, so Sockeye's throwers adapt by breaking upfield with backhands around the mark.

Mike Whitaker: Sockeye's offense does a nice job of cutting in rhythm with cutters changing direction shortly after the throwers catch the disc. This allows for throwers to release the disc within the first couple of seconds of the count. Near the end zone, Sockeye handlers show good patience and take advantage of marks that are too straight up by breaking backhand repeatedly.
