Sockeye 9 — Johnny Bravo 9
The Huddle: Pretty stifling defense by Bravo here. What could Sockeye have done better on offense?
Andrew Fleming: Off the stopped-disc Sockeye does a good job of clearing space in the middle, but the cuts take too long to develop. Sockeye's handlers and cutters seem to be out of sync, and Bravo's tight D means that upfield windows are small and short-lived. In this situation, quick disc movement between handlers can help break things loose and give cutters more opportunities to strike as the angles change.
Mike Whitaker: Bravo's hucking in this game has been poor, in general. In this case, Parker attempts a huck to Mac that flies directly over the receiver's head. This trajectory makes for a very difficult read, especially in a cross wind situation. Mac runs right (downwind) first and loses downfield distance as the disc flies long.
