2008 Labor Day Championships

Rare Air

from Kath Ratcliff:

Moving back to a team that loves their deep looks, after the dump-swing-under-cut world of godiva, Zeitgeist took on Rare Air looking for revenge for a loss at Coloraro Cup.

Rare Air plays a dynamic offense that is always looking to capitalize on that high-altitude training they've been doing and put the disc into space for one of their receivers to run down. They run a spread offense, looking to hit a cutter in the middle of the field who can then put it up for their deep cutters. Adding some speed this year, their strategy was particularly effective in the thin air and hot sun of Colorado. This time, the heavier air held up their throws a bit, and Zeitgeist was able to catch up and D them occasionally. Winning this game would mean a repeat trip to Labor Day semi's for Zeitgeist,so we came out hard and never looked back, winning 15-5.
