The Huddle

Cream

O-Team
I wanted to build around proven winners and guys who have experience being successful. An offense built around such dynamic players as Fortch, Bart as playmakers with two of the most underrated un-guardable cutters out there in AJ and Masulis (AJ creates match-up problems across the board). Andrew Brown and Chris Rupp have proven chemistry with the deep ball and the short game. Tank fills out the line perfectly by adding incredible consistency, solid deep throws, and a person who knows what to do in high pressure situations. Fills out the 3rd handler/fill cutter/7th guy on the line role perfectly. My strategy was to build a team around backfield chemistry, dynamic players, and match-up problems.

D-Team
I didn't realize I went so heavily Carleton until we were in the last round but I think the role is fitting. Is there a different school you would want D-Handlers from? Roger and Sebby bring chemistry and more advanced sets and the comfortability to be able to switch and throw wrenches at other O-lines. Chris Kosednar captained CUT to a national championship and will be more well known over the years. These three bring an d-line that can MARK.

Downfield I went big, Mahoney, Mangan, Drew, and Mark can match up across the board and bring up the athleticism of my team. All know what to do with the frisbee My strategy here was to pick up some big bodies and be able to do three things; provide match-ups that make throwers pump fake deep looks, mark with a new level of intensity, and have the intelligence up front with handlers to force people to go options 3, 4, and 5.

Subs
Owens: Fits in the O-line as a big body who is hard to cover. Can step into a role of handler or d and will add to the already experienced O-line. Sigelman: one of the toughest handler covers out there. I know way too much about this from practice.

Players I wanted (great picks to other owners): Andrew Ouchterlony, Shane Hoenstein, Mike Jaeger, Jimmy Chu, and Asa Wilson.
